Hi, I’m Clarke. I’m a native English speaker, and I’ve been teaching English to adults for more than ten years. For several of those years I lived and taught in São Paulo, Brazil, where I helped professionals, executives and entrepreneurs use English at work. Now I teach here in Toronto.

Nothing generic

Most of my students don’t need to learn English from zero. They already know a lot. They just get stuck when they have to speak. My job is to unlock the English you already have.

That’s why every lesson is built around your real life: the meeting you have next week, the job interview you’re preparing for, the presentation to your manager, or the small talk with your colleagues and neighbours. I use real-time feedback and personalised materials, and all materials are included at no extra cost.

I understand where you get stuck

I’ve also learned a second language as an adult. I speak Portuguese, so I know how it feels to think in one language and speak in another. Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking students can have parts of the lesson explained in Portuguese whenever it helps.
